An Committee of the
Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce

The ambassador group was organized in the 1960's as a social arm of the chamber. Ambassadors help to greet new members and to facilitate chamber social functions and projects.

Over time the ambassador group of the Watertown chamber also took on the work of actual membership recruitment. As such, they make calls to all prospective new members in addition to their social efforts for the organization.

The ambassador chairperson and the chamber staff compile sales calls into a monthly report for the group meetings. The committee has its own bylaws.
