An Committee of the
Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce
The Commerce & Education committee is an organization with a history of chamber work dating back to the mid 1960's. Its program of work has changed over the years to match the changing needs of society. In every community there are gray areas where Business, Industry and Education overlap.
Volunteers explore those areas of overlap to uncover new ways to broaden awareness and foster relationships between those three areas of community activity.
The Commerce & Education committee is comprised of 10-12 members who represent the area of concentration.
Service Information:
Time Frames:
Terms: There are no term limits for service on the Commerce & Education committee. Persons may volunteer from the community at large. The chairperson shall, on an annual basis, review group involvement to be sure that Business, Industry and Education are represented.

Typical Tasks: In recent years the Commerce & Education committee has organized industrial tours for teachers, adopt-a-classroom projects, new teacher welcome breakfasts.
