Faith in Action
The quality of life in Watertown is greatly enhanced by the activity of the local faith-based community. Within the city there are 24 congregations representing 15 denominations. Some of them date back over 150 years while others are newlyestablished. All totaled, they represent the efforts of thousands of area residents.

From their beautifully maintained worship facilities to their school buildings to their efforts in local social programs, it is easy to see that the entire community benefits in immeasurable ways by their presence.

In particular, all of the congregations have a focus on youth as part of their ministry. They also go well beyond that to support the local food pantry, a homeless shelter, Bread and Roses weekly free dinner, Meals on Wheels, Hispanic community needs, and recovery support groups, to name only a few of the many positive efforts which they support in Watertown.

The members of the local churches support programs and activities which provide a sense of security and stability which ensures great quality of life for area residents.
