Visitor Information
When you see the city name “Watertown” you quickly
imagine all kinds of water activity. You won’t be
disappointed. With two dams and ten bridges, there is an
endless amount of water fun. Throughout the city, it is
common to see people of all ages trying their luck at
fishing. Others canoe, paddleboat or motor boat.
The Watertown Park and Recreation Department oversees
the operation of The Watertown Aquatic Center, The
Senior/Community Center, the Watertown Park System, and its own
roster of classes and athletic activities. The efforts of this department result in a myriad of activities for residents
and visitors alike. Kids’ classes, adult sports leagues, and adult courses help to broaden the abilities of residents.
The Health and Wellness Center of Watertown is another outlet for courses and programs designed to help
Watertown residents who want to focus on healthier lifestyles. The Center includes trainers, instructors,
equipment, and specialty groups to assist all areas of family life and wellness.
Golfers have their choice between two 18-hole courses in Watertown. Watertown Country Club is a private club
located on Silver Creek and includes a dining/banquet facility. Windwood is a public course complete with
restaurant and dining/banquet facilities located just east of the city in the rolling hills of the Wisconsin countryside.
During the cold winter months, skaters take to the ice where boats were floating. The Park and Recreation
Department maintains two ice rinks and cross country ski trails in Brandt-Quirk Park. Sports enthusiasts turn to
a list of indoor sport activities offered by the department to wile away the winter days.
