Each breakfast features a guest speaker, compelling topics, and a brief introduction to Maranatha Baptist University.   Guest speaker Ken Evans, President and CEO of Lord & Evans Capital Group, will present “From Leadership to Legacy.” As President and Chief Executive Officer of Armor All products, Ken Evans more than doubled shareholder value during his six year tenure by achieving record sales through new product introductions and international market expansion. Prior to the company’s acquisition by The Clorox Co. in January 1997, Armor All was a publicly traded corporation with revenues of $200 million and sales in 70 countries.   Evans has a broad business background in consumer products. He led the national rollout of Thompson’s Water Seal as president of the Thompson Formby Company and after its acquisition by Sterling Drug/Kodak, rose to the position of group vice president for Home Care Products at Eastman Kodak Company.   He has served on numerous corporate boards including Armor All; Barr Brands International, Inc.; Microban International; O’Brien Powder Products, Inc.; Personal Care Holdings, Inc.; Thibaut, Inc.; and Lord & Evans, Inc.; as well as several non-profit boards.   After his retirement Evans served first as a strategy consultant to RPM International, then as president of RPM’s $1 billion revenues consumer products group.    Evans received his undergraduate education in liberal arts at Villanova University and is an alumnus of the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He has lectured at the University of California Graduate School of Business and Charleston Southern University.    The Evans family owns Lord & Evans Companies which for twenty years operated several paint stores in the Low Country until April 2012 when that entity was sold to a strategic buyer. Evans continues to manage a real estate investment group and Lord & Evans Capital, which participates in private equity investments and offers consulting services for mergers and acquisitions and business strategy.
