2016-08-25 07:30:00 2016-08-25 08:30:00 America/Chicago New Teacher Welcome Breakfast The Commerce and Education Partnership (CEP) of the Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce is busy working on the plans for the next New Teacher Breakfast.  And we’d like to invite you to participate by informing us of the names of new faculty or administrators that will begin in just a few weeks at your school.  The primary objective of the CEP is to build bridges between the various Chamber member organizations with the educational institutions of the surrounding area.  The CEP has found that a very successful means of welcome to the new teachers of Watertown’s schools is an invitation to this breakfast.  Besides the terrific spread of food, we assemble and provide each attendee a bag full of donated items and coupons from about forty companies to introduce these new residents to the friendly array of companies that call Watertown home.  A verbal welcome from a City Hall and Chamber of Commerce representative fills out the morning so that each person walks away knowing a little more of our community’s richness.   The breakfast is scheduled for 7:30 – 8:40 a.m. on Thursday, August 25, at Maranatha Baptist University.  The food service staff has planned a great menu including Baked French Toast, ham & egg casserole, fresh fruit salad, and other delights!  We need your help in three areas: §  Inform me of the names of new faculty and administrators that will attend for proper planning purposes.  You may e-mail me (mark.stevens@mbu.edu) or call me (206-2314) by August 17. §  Add the breakfast to your in-service schedule.  This breakfast has been used by a number of schools as the official beginning of their year. §  Invite and encourage attendance of the new teachers with you to this breakfast.  We’re very comfortable in having you claim this as your event!  Just let me know if you’re coming.   If additional information is needed, please don’t hesitate to contact the chamber office at 261-6320.  We look forward to officially welcoming your new employees to the Watertown community.  If this event conflicts with the beginning of your school year, please still let us know of the names of the new teachers, and a CEP member would be honored to deliver a welcome bag to your school for this individual.     Marnatha Baptist University 745 W Main St
