About us

Retail home furnishing store established 1966. Started as a sleep shop and has grown to 123 stores so far with all home furnishing products.

Our mission is to improve the life of each customer. We strive to uphold this promise through our products, our service, and our company values:

  • To work with honesty and integrity
  • To treat one another with love, dignity, and respect
  • To be good citizens

We are thrilled when a customer battling aches and pains or full-fledged insomnia finds the mattress that will allow her to sleep soundly at night. We take pride in providing your family with furniture that will create a home filled with love and comfort. And we remember those in our community who are less fortunate by donating a percentage of our earnings to charitable organizations and by hosting our annual Homes for the Holidays event that provides new beds to those in need.
In this way, we hope to share our expertise and good fortune and to remain focused on what counts—friends, family, and happy, healthy homes.
Stacey Shane was just 19 years old when she first worked for Slumberland Furniture in the year of 2002. That was back when CDs were still popular. A burrito at Taco Bell only cost 99 cents and the popular movies were Spider-Man, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones.
It wasn’t until 2012 when they took ownership of the Beaver Dam store. Today she lives in Watertown, WI with her husband, Jeff and their six-year-old daughter, Mckenna. They own and operate both the Beaver Dam and Watertown locations together. She is a present owner. That means if you stop in either location there is a very good chance Stacey will be there taking phone calls, moving products on the floor, or doing what she loves best: helping people find the best style of furniture for the lowest possible price. She truly is the hometown girl with the big box stores.
