The trauma of child abuse can be devastating and have lasting consequences for a child. Many instances of abuse and neglect can be prevented if families in crisis had a support network of caring individuals to help them in a time of need.

It is from this philosophy Safe Families for Children (SFFC) was born. In 2003, SFFC founder, Dave Anderson, found that if loving families can provide a safe and caring environment for a child at critical times, we can not only prevent harm to children, but we can enhance a parent's ability to provide what that child needs.

Safe Families for Children (SFFC) is a national movement of compassion that gives hope to families in crisis. A network of volunteers provide safe, loving homes for parents to voluntarily have their children cared for while they restore stability in their own lives. Our dedication to family support, stabilization, and child abuse prevention is driven by responsibility for the well-being of children in our communities.
