I was born in Neenah, Wisconsin but shortly after my family moved to Illinois. I was raised in Illinois, living in Streamwood, Schaumburg and Elgin. I have one sister. My mom was an elementary school teacher and my dad was employed at Johnson Controls. While I spent my childhood in Illinois I have always been a Green Bay Packer fan. Living in Bear territory as a Packer Fan was not easy.
I graduated college from UW-Whitewater with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I taught Kindergarten and 3rd grade in Illinois. When the district had a huge lay off I made the decision to return to Wisconsin to Watertown.
My first official employment in Watertown was at Balistreri’s Welcome Inn Restaurant in the basement of the current Econo Lodge while I was in college. After moving to Watertown as an adult I was employed by Waterloo and Johnson Creek School Districts. I have been in my current position at Big Brothers Big Sisters for twenty-one years. I started out part-time while still employed at Johnson Creek.
I am not married but currently live with my boyfriend, John. I do not have any children of my own but consider my three nephews; Robert, Connor and Carter as my own. My sister, Heidi and my dad, Augie are a very important part of my life, family comes first.
John and I love to travel. One of my most memorable trips was to England with my mom when I graduated from college. I enjoy gardening, reading, watching the Green Bay Packers and spending time with family.

Employee Policy Handbook HelpDoes your growing business need to assemble the expectations you have for your employees into one document? Perhaps you already have a handbook, but it still includes a prohibition on using the mimeograph machine for personal copying. The fall semester is underway at Maranatha Baptist University, and the Business Department has a class of students working to create employee handbooks for organizations in need of one. Please contact Dr. Mark Stevens at mark.stevens@mbu.edu or 206-2314 if you’d like this free resource to be created for you. Don’t delay; students need to secure a company by next Monday, September 18. |

The Downtown Watertown Wine Walk is coming to downtown Watertown on
Thursday, September 14 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Join us in Watertown and enjoy sampling wines at 12 locations.
During the Wine Walk, Watertown’s downtown businesses become "tasting rooms" where attendees may sample up to 24 different wines throughout the evening. The Wine Walk will include local artists at each location, so participants will have a chance to find fabulous art while strolling downtown. Wristbands for the event are $25. Your ticket includes the wine tasting event plus 2 complimentary raffle tickets with the opportunity to purchase more.
After you check in at the Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce office, 519 E Main Street, you are free to walk Main Street sampling wine and enjoying suggested food pairings, browsing our businesses and spending time with friends and meeting new people. Information about the wine you taste will be provided at each location.
On September 14, bring your printed receipt from your online purchase to the chamber building. At that time, your ID will be checked, (please bring identifications to verify you are of legal drinking age; refunds will not be given if someone does not have proof of age) and you will receive your map of participating businesses, your wristband and raffle tickets. Raffle winners will be notified via phone on the Monday after the event.
