 HISTORY:  The Watertown office was founded in 1939 when George E. Niemann established a law office at the corner of First and Main Streets on the second floor of the Watertown Bank building.  He entered into a partnership with Paul Hibbard in 1953 and Arnold K. Schumann in 1966.  George Neuberger, Carol M. Lorenz, Andrew R. Griggs and Mark S. Sweet joined the firm and became partners between 1979 and 1991. The Lake Mills office can trace its roots back to 1922 when Robert P. Ferry opened a law office in Lake Mills joining with John Neupert in 1964 and Thomas Wakeman in 1974.

 In 2006, the two firms merged to form Neuberger, Wakeman, Lorenz, Griggs & Sweet.  Nicole Schrier joined the firm in 2011 and became a partner in 2018.  After her marriage in 2019, the firm is now known as Neuberger, Griggs, Sweet & Froehle, LLP. Karen Heineman of Reeseville and Lucas Tabor of Jefferson joined the firm in 2020 as associate attorneys.  The firm has produced two now retired Jefferson County Circuit Court Judges in Arnold K. Schumann and John M. Ullsvik, as well as two Watertown Municipal Judges George E. Niemann and Mark S. Sweet who is currently serving.
