Founded in 2025 by partners Argjent and Advija, Golden Spoon Cafe is a testament to their shared love for food and community. As an Albanian couple from North Macedonia, they bring over a decade of experience in the restaurant industry, from working in their family’s restaurants to owning their establishment, Friendship House, in Merrill, WI. Every aspect of Golden Spoon Cafe reflects their passion for creating a warm, welcoming space where friends and families can gather over delicious meals.

Growing up, both Argjent and Advija were cherished by their grandmothers, who instilled in them the values of love, care, and the joy of sharing a meal. In Macedonian culture, there is a heartfelt saying: “I hope one day you eat with a golden spoon.” Their grandmothers often shared this blessing, inspiring the couple as they pursued their dream of opening a restaurant. When it came to choosing a name, they wanted to honor their grandmothers' memories and fulfill their wishes. Thus, Golden Spoon Cafe was born—a symbol of family, tradition, and the joy of gathering around the table.

The cafe's logo features two spoons coming together, representing the couple's unity, while the flower shape pays tribute to their grandmothers. Today, not only do Argjent and Advija eat with a golden spoon, but so does everyone who visits their restaurant.

Golden Spoon Cafe takes pride in offering a diverse menu that caters to every taste. Guests can enjoy an all-day breakfast featuring farm-fresh eggs, homemade hollandaise sauce for their Benedicts, gluten-free hash browns, fresh vegetables, and fluffy pancakes. A variety of gluten-free options are also available. For lunch, diners can savor hearty half-pound burgers, wraps, melt sandwiches, club sandwiches, fresh salads, fettuccine Alfredo, and stir fry—along with liver and onions—ensuring that there is something for everyone, all made with high-quality ingredients.

With seating for over 100 guests, the cafe is perfect for family gatherings, casual lunches, or a quiet coffee break. Additionally, there is a private party room for intimate gatherings of 20-30 people.
