And the owners I most respect use that freedom the same way: they double down on the intentional use of their business for their family, their team, and their community. They practice ownership that extends a legacy, not ownership that hoards everything to themselves.

Here's the tension. Owners between $2M and $10M are carrying the weight of a business that depends on them. Some of that is good. But not when everything routes through their desk and the vision lives in their head. It’s not for lack of capability, it’s because building a business that works without you is a second full-time job on top of the one they already have.

This fall I'm doing something about that.

The Ownership Matters Cohort is a 100-day group coaching experience built on the Legacy Leadership Architecture. September 14 through a January capstone. Fourteen live sessions of learning & doing. The plan is

Assess — complete the Legacy Leadership Assessment in week one and see exactly where your business stands across six domains of leadership maturity.

Align — work one domain at a time. Teaching one week and direct application the next.

Build — finish every domain with a working artifact, then assemble them into your own execution plan in the final weeks.

By the time most owners are writing resolutions in January, you'll be executing a plan you’ve been building for weeks — with measurable plans to back it up.

A total of 12 seats will be offered. Enrollment closes September 10.
