How to position your site for success

Hello Partners,

When an industrial project comes to Wisconsin, one of the first opportunities a community has to stand out is through its response to a request for information (RFI). The quality of those responses often determine whether a community moves forward in the process or gets screened out before a site visit ever takes place.

To help communities better understand what site selectors are looking for, we're hosting a workshop with an experienced site selection consultant from Deloitte who will share practical insights on responding to RFIs for industrial and manufacturing projects.

This session is intended for local and regional economic development leaders, utility representatives, municipal officials, planners, and others who may be involved in supporting business attraction and development projects.

We'll discuss topics such as:

What site selectors look for when evaluating communities and sites
Common mistakes that can weaken an RFI response
Tips for organizing information and responding quickly
How communities, utilities, and economic development organizations can work together to present a strong response
Preparing for follow-up questions, due diligence requests, and site visits
Ways to showcase your community's strengths and readiness for investment
