Position Summary:

If you are passionate about transforming the way obesity is approached in healthcare and believe in providing compassionate, patient-centered care, we invite you to join our team at Weight In Gold Wellness. Weight In Gold Wellness is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and/or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Watertown to support our expanding practice. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, adept at multitasking, and eager to contribute to both personal and professional growth. Familiarity with Athena EHR is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Create a welcoming, stigma-free environment that meets patients where they are on their weight health journey.
Deliver safe, accurate, and clinically competent care to patients and their families.
Perform vital sign checks, review medical histories, and responsible for all patient rooming.
Conduct medication reconciliation to ensure patient records are accurate and up to date.
Document all vital signs, clinical observations and procedures accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) during each visit.
Respond to incoming patient calls, document interactions in the EMR, and communicate effectively with providers.
Notify patients of lab results as directed by providers.
Assist with completing prior authorization requests for medications or procedures.
Maintain equipment, stock examination rooms, and manage inventory of supplies.
Keep educational materials up to date in examination rooms and stock areas.
Uphold patient confidentiality and represent the practice respectfully.
Work closely with providers, coaches, dietitians, and colleagues for seamless care delivery.
Assisting patient needs creatively and effectively with the team.
Ensure patients feel heard, valued, and supported for those living with obesity.
Step into roles as needed with a positive, flexible attitude.
Qualifications:

Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Life Support: Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Skills: Collaborative and communication skills.
Teamwork: Willingness to collaborate as an active team member.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record.
Scheduled Hours:

Watertown- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 7:45am-5:15pm (30 minute lunch included); off Wednesday
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $32.00 per hour
