This full-time, 4 days a week position supporting our Waukesha and Oconomowoc Clinics: Mondays (7:30am-5:30pm in Waukesha), Tuesdays (OFF). Wednesdays (8-6pm in Waukesha), Thursdays (8-6pm in Oconomowoc) and Fridays (8am-4:30pm in Oconomowoc). NO holidays and NO on-call hours.
Position Summary: As a patient service representative, you are the face of our office, responsible for creating a positive first impression for our patients and visitors.
Key responsibilities include the following:
- Provide professional customer service to meet individual patient needs, with a caring and empathetic approach
- Register patients for appointments by verifying patient demographics, insurance eligibility, and explanation of paperwork
- Collect payments
- Appointment scheduling and confirmation
- Answer and direct inbound phone calls
- General clerical support
Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in healthcare office or fast-paced, highly interactive customer service environment preferred
- Computer skills required, Microsoft Office competent
- Knowledge of medical terminology and EPIC software preferred but not required
- Self-motivated, excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Professional and possess excellent interpersonal communication skills
