We are an assisted living and memory care community designed specifically for the needs of those touched by physical and/or cognitive (dementia/memory care) decline. Our home supports different levels of care and individualized attention while always putting comfort and safety first. We have 24/7 care practitioners and full-time professional nurses onsite and dedicated to all of our residents’ needs, which allows individuals to live in our community with as much care as they will need until the end of life. Our mission is to help residents maintain or gain functional independence, despite their declines, in an environment of optimal health, independence, security, and social interaction.
In last week's newsletter, we introduced our 2019 Chamber Board of Directors. We have some new names on our board and would like to introduce them to you!
Karrisa Hurtgen
Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors – January 2019
I am originally from Watertown, Wisconsin. I graduated from Watertown High School in 1999. From there I went on to the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse, where I received a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, with an emphasis in Human Resources. While attending college my senior year, my boyfriend (now my husband) proposed to me on the beautiful bluffs of La Crosse. Of course, I said yes, which is what brought me back to living in the Watertown area. In May of 2003, I moved back to Watertown and was offered a job in the Marketing department for U S Chemical. At the time U S Chemical had a corporate office in Brookfield, WI. In early 2004 the office in Brookfield closed and was relocated to Watertown. I took it as a sign that I was just meant to be in Watertown! Since starting with U S Chemical in 2003 I have worked in various Marketing positions with the most current being the Marketing Manager for the past 5 years. U S Chemical is a division of Diversey, Inc.
Being involved in the community that I reside in has always been a goal of mine. As the Marketing Manager of U S Chemical, I am fortunate to work with the institutional, commercial and industrial sides of the business, but not specifically in Watertown. I am hoping that being on the Board of Directors will allow me to progress in additional segments and give back to my community.
My husband Mike, and I currently reside in Watertown. We have two children – our son, Carsten and our daughter, Embrey. Our kids attend Lebanon Lutheran School, which keeps us very involved in all school events, along with every sport imaginable! Outside of work, home and sports, I find time to enjoy our second summer home (our camper) located in Hancock, WI. This allows me to relax in the sun while at the beach, with a good book! I also enjoy hanging out with my family and vacationing whenever possible.
Invitations have been mailed and registrations are due February 8. If for some reason you didn't get your copy, here's a link to the invitation. We're painting the town red for our 52nd! Please take the time to view our amazing celebration sponsors!
