Dear Chamber Members,
The Watertown Area Chamber has been serving the business community for more than 100 years, what a great milestone. We are excited to finally be celebrating with our Gala Dinner this Thursday. We wanted to send a big THANK YOU to our sponsors for this event including Seven-Up Bottling Company, Bank First, Hafemeister Funeral Home, Ixonia Bank, Chandler House Bakery, Bank of Lake Mills and Fisher Barton.
November is just around the corner and wanted to remind our members that our next Wake Up Watertown is being held on Wednesday, November 3rd at Milford Hills. This is the first Wake Up Watertown we are taking on the road and will start our program at 8AM.
Our next bi-weekly newsletter will be sent out Wednesday, November 3rd. During this time if your organization is hiring, offering programs, or have events to promote, please let us know so we can share with our membership and the community. Over the next several newsletters you will learn more about each member of this year's Leadership Watertown Class.
This week we are highlighting Leadership Classmate Margaret Brady
I am currently serving as the Director of Human Resources for the Watertown Unified School District. I have enjoyed this opportunity for over three and one-half years. I particularly enjoy meeting community members and being part of an administration that holds a deep and genuine commitment to providing excellent education to students of the school district.
Before joining the Watertown Unified School District, I worked in state government and health care. I have over 25 years of human resources experience and am still dedicated to this field. Despite my years of experience, each day continues to offer new challenges and unique situations to help people at work.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point, have completed graduate courses at Edgewood College and am currently enrolled in online graduate courses at Lakeland University. I hold SHRM-CP certification, a global credential that is based upon knowledge and competence in Human Resources. I am committed to continuous learning as a life practice.
I am the overly-proud parent of four wonderful kids, well, most now adults. My youngest, and only daughter, is looking forward to high school graduation this year then on to university. My sons are experiencing success in the engineering, entertainment and software industries. My attorney daughter-in-law is a passionate advocate for the elderly and disabled. As a family, we enjoy holidays, traveling and extended discussions on how to best fix just about everything in the world that needs fixing. I also enjoy lots of reading, spending quality time walking my Chiweenie dog, pretending I am a great guitar player, and spending time in service to others through many different volunteer events.
I look forward to the opportunity to be part of Leadership Watertown to learn more about this wonderful community.
