Watertown is excited to welcome three large baseball and softball tournaments to the city in June! The tournaments will bring in hundreds of players, along with their families. Guests will be coming from as far away as Texas. As they stay in our city for multiple days, they will be looking for shopping and dining opportunities. Watertown Tourism will provide them with resources to find YOUR business. Please be aware this will have an impact on retail and dining establishments during the dates of June 3-4, June 16-18, and June 22-25. Thank you in advance for providing our visitors with a warm welcome and hospitable Watertown experience!
Leadership Watertown has established a partnership with Surf Shack Rentals LLC to establish a bike rental locker station located at the Interurban Trail on Clark Street. We are asking for donations to fund a bike rental locker station and bikes for rent. The bike lockers will hold four adult bikes and two children’s bikes with helmets.
Three bike locker units are priced at $7,500, housing two bikes each. The approximate cost of the four adult bikes, two children bikes, and helmets is $4,200. Hardware, signage, and a concrete pad will cost $2,800. Additionally, the Leadership Watertown class would like to fundraise an extra $2,000 for vouchers redeemable at the Friends of the Watertown Public Library for low-income households. The Leadership Watertown and the City of Watertown have agreed the 10% of all sales will be deposited to an account to keep the voucher program funded.
We will recognize your company’s sponsorship at these levels:
Platinum - $3,000+ - large print company name on plaque, social media, and ribbon cutting ceremony.
Gold - $1000+- small print company name on plaque, social media, and ribbon cutting ceremony.
Silver - $500+ -social media and ribbon cutting ceremony.

Watertown High School'sSolar Car TeamAdopt-A-Cell FundraiserYour local SkillsUSA chapter has taken up a big project this year: building a car that runs on solar power! This car will drive from Fort Worth, TX all the way to Palmdale CA. This is an expensive project, and requires support from our Watertown community! This is where Adopt-A-Cell comes in, you can pay $20 to “adopt” a certain solar cell on the car. Along with supporting this massive project, each cell you buy gives you a 5 in. by 5 in. square to put whatever you want in it (as long as it is appropriate), which will be displayed on our website! Adopt a cell and learn more from our website: WatertownStem.org Thank you for all of your support! |
