Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassador (since 2023)
I am a proud, third generation Watertownian. My parents Donna (Raether) and Bob created a home in this community. My grandpa, Stan, taught at Watertown High School. My brother, Rob, and I graduated from Watertown High, as have many aunts and uncles before us.
I moved to Oshkosh, WI in 1998 to finish my Bachelor of Business Administration at UW Oshkosh, continuing to live in that community for 20 years. I completed my Master of Science and Ph.D. in Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis from UW Madison. For the past 17 years, I’ve worked for Sodexo, starting my career in campus marketing, working as a Project Manager with our airport lounge (United & Delta) partnerships, and now serving as a Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Experience. I lead our PRIDE Employee Business Resource Group for the United States.
My wife, April, and I moved back home to Watertown in April 2019 and have not only made our home here, but also opened Chandler House Bakery at 411 E. Main St. A trained pastry chef, with Michelin starred restaurant experience in Chicago, April is proud to bring delicious treats to the community she’s embraced as her home. April previously served as a Watertown Chamber of Commerce Ambassador as well.
We are pet parents to our four furbabies – Dexter, Dottie, Binx & Bailey and enjoy giving back to the community as much as we can. Being kind, giving hugs and creating a safe space for people is incredibly important to us. Our family, friends who became family, and the friends we’ve yet to meet are the folks we spend our free time with. We are proud to be a part of Watertown’s Historic Downtown Main Street and hope to be a destination for residents and visitors for years to come.
If you know of a business that has not yet joined the Chamber of Commerce, please encourage them to join or reach out to one of the Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors. Our Chamber of Commerce membership has brought us so many rewards by means of networking, friendships and feeling a part of the community.
Watertown is excited to welcome three large baseball and softball tournaments to the city in June! The tournaments will bring in hundreds of players, along with their families. Guests will be coming from as far away as Texas. As they stay in our city for multiple days, they will be looking for shopping and dining opportunities. Watertown Tourism will provide them with resources to find YOUR business. Please be aware this will have an impact on retail and dining establishments during the dates of June 3-4, June 16-18, and June 22-25. Thank you in advance for providing our visitors with a warm welcome and hospitable Watertown experience!
The Watertown Police Department is hosting a training session on Run/Hide/Fight on June 20, 2023 from 1:00 - 4:00p in the Community Room at the Watertown Library. Open to all members of the Public, including teens with parental supervision. The room capacity is 140, so no need to signup, should be plenty of room. If we do max out, we will gladly host it again.
Congratulations Leadership Class of 2023!
This leadership class took on a huge project to fundraise.
We are excited to announce that the goal has been met for bike rentals at the Interurban Trailhead.
Storage Lockers are in production. Project completion is planned for early August. If you or your business still want to contribute to this project, additional funds will be put into the voucher program for reduced or no cost bike rentals.

Watertown High School'sSolar Car TeamAdopt-A-Cell FundraiserYour local SkillsUSA chapter has taken up a big project this year: building a car that runs on solar power! This car will drive from Fort Worth, TX all the way to Palmdale CA. This is an expensive project, and requires support from our Watertown community! This is where Adopt-A-Cell comes in, you can pay $20 to “adopt” a certain solar cell on the car. Along with supporting this massive project, each cell you buy gives you a 5 in. by 5 in. square to put whatever you want in it (as long as it is appropriate), which will be displayed on our website!
